Carmela Ice Trainer (Leather) – 163108

    Size table

Carmela’s size ranges and foot lengths are shown below. Measure your longer foot and compare its length with the chart. UK equivalents are approximate; order using the EU size on this product. Sizes shown are not available in every style.

    EUUK (approx.)Foot length (cm)

    38524.9
    39625.6
    406.526.3

These are foot measurements, not insole or shoe lengths. Do not add extra room to your measurement before using this table.

    Between sizes?

If your longer foot falls between two lengths, compare the neighbouring EU sizes and the fastening on your chosen style. For a broader foot or high instep, contact us with the style number before deciding; a longer shoe is not always a wider fit.

    Finding your comfortable fit

    Width fitting
    Regular
    Fastening
    Lace-up

Carmela’s leather trainers and sandals have different shapes and levels of adjustment. Use the width and fastening listed for the individual model.

    • Buckle sandals: On styles such as 162393, set the ankle buckle comfortably and check that the front straps sit without pressure. The ankle fastening does not widen the forefoot.
    • Leather trainers: Use the laces to set the fit across your instep. Check any zip and footbed information separately; these features vary by design.
    • Materials and width: Leather may soften with wear, but the shoe should feel comfortable across the toes from the first try. Do not rely on a narrow shape stretching to fit.

    I am between sizes

If your longer foot falls between two lengths, compare the neighbouring EU sizes and the fastening on your chosen style. For a broader foot or high instep, contact us with the style number before deciding; a longer shoe is not always a wider fit.

I need more room across my toes

Check the width fitting for this particular style. Your toes should have room to move without pressure at the sides. A longer size also adds length, so a wider fitting or a different toe shape may be a better choice. If no width is given, ask us to check this pair.

Shoes feel tight over the top of my foot

The instep is the top of your foot. Laces, adjustable straps or elastic can help you adjust the fit, but they do not make every style suitable for a higher instep. Check how far the shoe opens and avoid pressure over the top of your foot.

    My heel tends to slip

Fasten the shoe as you would wear it and take a few steps indoors. If your heel keeps lifting or rubbing, check the fastening and the shape of the heel. A smaller size may squeeze your toes; a different style can be the better answer.

    I use my own insoles

Look for a confirmed removable insole on this style. Removable does not guarantee enough depth for your own insole. Try the shoe with the insoles and socks you intend to wear, and check that your heel stays secure without pressure across the top.

When your shoes arrive: a quick fit check

Try them indoors on a clean surface before deciding to keep them.

    1. Try both shoes. Wear your usual socks or tights and any insoles you intend to use. Adjust the fastenings.
    2. Check toe room. Your toes should move comfortably, without pressing against the front or being squeezed at the sides.
    3. Take a few steps. Check for persistent heel slipping, rubbing or pressure across the top of your foot.
    4. Something feels wrong? Ask us before wearing them outside. A different width or shape may help more than changing size.

    Measure both feet

    Foot lengthHeel against wall
    1. Place a sheet of paper on a hard, level floor with one edge against a wall. Wear the socks you plan to wear with the shoes.
    2. Stand with your heel gently against the wall and your weight on the foot. Have someone mark the end of your longest toe, keeping the pencil upright.
    3. Measure from the wall edge to the mark in centimetres. Repeat for your other foot and use the longer measurement. Measuring towards the end of the day can be helpful.

Use centimetres only when this brand’s table includes foot length. If it does not, use the size conversion as a starting point and check the fitting advice. Foot length alone cannot tell you the width or depth you need.

    Check these three areas

    123
    1. Forefoot

Toes can move and the widest part of your foot feels comfortable, without squeezing at the sides.

    2. Instep

The top of your foot feels secure without tight pressure. Adjust laces or straps where available.

    3. Heel

Your heel sits securely as you walk, without persistent slipping or rubbing.
