Dubarry deck shoe fit guide — UK sizes

This Dubarry style uses UK size choices, including half sizes where available. Start with the UK size that already fits you in the same Dubarry model.

    How Dubarry shoes fit

This guide provides fitting advice. Use the size labels on the product and ask us if you need help comparing sizes.

    • Commander, Clipper and Admirals do not have identical uppers or linings. Do not assume the fit of one is exactly the same as another.
    • Try the shoes with the socks you intend to wear and adjust the laces. A lined deck shoe may feel different from an unlined leather style.
    • Your heel should stay comfortably held and your toes should not touch the front. For a precise EU equivalent, ask us to check the box label for this size.

    Between sizes?

If you are between two UK sizes, compare the half-size options available on your chosen product. Ask us to check the model and box label rather than relying on a whole-EU conversion.

Brand guidance is a starting point. Product-specific details and the way the shoe holds your foot also matter.

    How to measure your feet

    Foot lengthHeel against wall
    1. Place a sheet of paper on a hard, level floor with one edge against a wall. Wear the socks you plan to wear with the shoes.
    2. Stand with your heel gently against the wall and your weight on the foot. Have someone mark the end of your longest toe, keeping the pencil upright.
    3. Measure from the wall edge to the mark in centimetres. Repeat for your other foot and use the longer measurement. Measuring towards the end of the day can be helpful.

Only compare this measurement with a chart labelled foot length. An insole or shoe measurement may include extra space and is not interchangeable. Do not add an allowance unless that brand’s instructions specifically say to.
