Rombah Wallace size & fit guide

Rombah Wallace Regent is a structured penny loafer. Focus on the fit over the instep and the hold at the heel, as there are no laces to adjust it.

    How Rombah Wallace shoes fit

This guide provides fitting advice. Use the size labels on the product and ask us if you need help comparing sizes.

    • Try Regent with the dress socks you expect to wear. The upper should feel held rather than pressing across the top of your foot.
    • Walk a few steps indoors. Do not choose excess length to solve tightness over the instep, as that can make the heel slip.
    • Leather may soften with wear, but the shoe should not pinch or press on your toes. Use only the sizes currently offered on your chosen product.

    Between sizes?

If you sit between Regent sizes, ask us to check the available half sizes and the fit over your instep. A different shape may suit better if one size squeezes and the next slips.

Brand guidance is a starting point. Product-specific details and the way the shoe holds your foot also matter.

When your shoes arrive: a quick fit check

Try them indoors on a clean surface before deciding to keep them.

    1. Try both shoes. Wear your usual socks or tights and any insoles you intend to use. Adjust the fastenings.
    2. Check toe room. Your toes should move comfortably, without pressing against the front or being squeezed at the sides.
    3. Take a few steps. Check for persistent heel slipping, rubbing or pressure across the top of your foot.
    4. Something feels wrong? Ask us before wearing them outside. A different width or shape may help more than changing size.

    How to measure your feet

    Foot lengthHeel against wall
    1. Place a sheet of paper on a hard, level floor with one edge against a wall. Wear the socks you plan to wear with the shoes.
    2. Stand with your heel gently against the wall and your weight on the foot. Have someone mark the end of your longest toe, keeping the pencil upright.
    3. Measure from the wall edge to the mark in centimetres. Repeat for your other foot and use the longer measurement. Measuring towards the end of the day can be helpful.

Only compare this measurement with a chart labelled foot length. An insole or shoe measurement may include extra space and is not interchangeable. Do not add an allowance unless that brand’s instructions specifically say to.
