    If your usual length fits but you need more space across the foot, consider an H-fitting style. Going up in length can leave the heel loose.

    Caprice offers different widths and footbed constructions. Choose the fit of the individual pair rather than relying on cushioning alone.

    • G or H?: G is Caprice’s standard width; H provides extra room across the front of the foot. Check the product’s width description before ordering.
    • Comfort features: MEMOTION, AIRMOTION and CLIMOTION describe cushioning or sole features. They do not replace checking the shoe’s width and toe shape.
    • Replacing the footbed: Only remove the original insole when the style is listed as having a removable footbed. Check the shoe with your own insole in place for enough depth and a secure heel.

    I am between sizes

    If your usual length fits but you need more space across the foot, consider an H-fitting style. Going up in length can leave the heel loose.

    I need more room across my toes

    Check the width fitting for this particular style. Your toes should have room to move without pressure at the sides. A longer size also adds length, so a wider fitting or a different toe shape may be a better choice. If no width is given, ask us to check this pair.

    Shoes feel tight over the top of my foot

    The instep is the top of your foot. Laces, adjustable straps or elastic can help you adjust the fit, but they do not make every style suitable for a higher instep. Check how far the shoe opens and avoid pressure over the top of your foot.

    My heel tends to slip

    Fasten the shoe as you would wear it and take a few steps indoors. If your heel keeps lifting or rubbing, check the fastening and the shape of the heel. A smaller size may squeeze your toes; a different style can be the better answer.

    I use my own insoles

    Look for a confirmed removable insole on this style. Removable does not guarantee enough depth for your own insole. Try the shoe with the insoles and socks you intend to wear, and check that your heel stays secure without pressure across the top.

    When your shoes arrive: a quick fit check

    Try them indoors on a clean surface before deciding to keep them.

    1. Try both shoes. Wear your usual socks or tights and any insoles you intend to use. Adjust the fastenings.
    2. Check toe room. Your toes should move comfortably, without pressing against the front or being squeezed at the sides.
    3. Take a few steps. Check for persistent heel slipping, rubbing or pressure across the top of your foot.
    4. Something feels wrong? Ask us before wearing them outside. A different width or shape may help more than changing size.

    Measure both feet

    1. Place a sheet of paper on a hard, level floor with one edge against a wall. Wear the socks you plan to wear with the shoes.
    2. Stand with your heel gently against the wall and your weight on the foot. Have someone mark the end of your longest toe, keeping the pencil upright.
    3. Measure from the wall edge to the mark in centimetres. Repeat for your other foot and use the longer measurement. Measuring towards the end of the day can be helpful.

    Use centimetres only when this brand’s table includes foot length. If it does not, use the size conversion as a starting point and check the fitting advice. Foot length alone cannot tell you the width or depth you need.

    Warm cognac nappa leather and a gold-tone buckle give these Caprice ankle boots a smart finish. The clean silhouette and low block heel work neatly with straight-leg jeans, tailored trousers or a flowing midi skirt.

    An inside zip makes them easy to put on. Underfoot, CAPRICE AIRMOTION cushioning uses air-filled chambers to support airflow and soften each step. The removable footbed is a useful practical detail, with a textile and synthetic lining inside.
