    Ara size & fit guide

Ara men's shoes come in different widths, so match the width of this particular style as well as the size.

Use this men's size guide as a starting point. Choose from the sizes available on your chosen product; the chart does not indicate stock. Fit also depends on the shape and width of your foot.

A chart comparison is a starting point, not a guarantee of fit. Check the style’s width and the sizes available before ordering.

    How Ara shoes fit

    • G is Ara's standard width; H offers more room and K is an extra-wide option where specified. Check the fit details for your chosen pair.
    • HighSoft describes cushioning and flexibility, not a width fitting. A soft shoe still needs comfortable space across the forefoot.
    • On a lace-and-zip style, adjust the laces to your foot first, then use the zip for everyday access. Check for a removable footbed if you wear your own insoles.

    Between sizes?

Compare the two sizes with your usual size in this brand. Your toes should have room while your heel stays secure. If the length feels right but the sides pinch, look for a wider shape rather than automatically choosing a longer shoe.

Brand guidance is a starting point. Product-specific details and the way the shoe holds your foot also matter.

    How to measure your feet

    Foot lengthHeel against wall
    1. Place a sheet of paper on a hard, level floor with one edge against a wall. Wear the socks you plan to wear with the shoes.
    2. Stand with your heel gently against the wall and your weight on the foot. Have someone mark the end of your longest toe, keeping the pencil upright.
    3. Measure from the wall edge to the mark in centimetres. Repeat for your other foot and use the longer measurement. Measuring towards the end of the day can be helpful.

Only compare this measurement with a chart labelled foot length. An insole or shoe measurement may include extra space and is not interchangeable. Do not add an allowance unless that brand’s instructions specifically say to.
